Who ARE These People

And how did they get on my TV? I don't recognize a single person. Wait...oh, no....maybe...nope, hmm. Is it possible that I have been watching the wrong show for these past 42 (only slightly exaggerated) weeks? Oh wait, there's that Shakira thing. Ick.

Maybe I am just jaded due to my experiences last night with true greatness (stay tuned for details...). Maybe these chicks just can't sing. I dunno, but either way Hollywood is proving to be BRU-TAL. Sin City meets Gladiator meets Kill Bill BRU-TAL. And I LOVE every blessed second of it. Get off your high horses ladies. This is one tough competition. You can win the whole damn thing be promoted up the wazoo and still no one will care -Yes I am talking to you Mr. Soul "No. 76 on the Billboard Charts and Sliding After Less Than a Month" Patrol. Its about talent plain and simple. Not ego. Not image. Not your sassy lil mouth Ms. Blame Everyone but Yourself. Talent. Say it with me T-A-L-E-N-T.

And that brings me to the guys.

Technically, much better. Personality, vanilla. Not even Haggen Daaz vanilla. Generic Safeway Brand Ice Milk Vanilla. Yawn. And what's up with that poor lil queen's mom who now all of a sudden loves her poor overtweased son and is proud of him. Could it be that mommy is now calling the nearest real estate agent and mercedes dealership just "window shopping"? How very Patsy Ramsey of her. Oh wait, he didn't make it through? Son? What son?

But my night is salvaged by my faves - Beat Box Boy, Scary Hairy Guy, Sundance Kid, Just Jack and Back Up Boy. I think I have decided to root for a boy this year. I know, you are all SOOOO shocked being that I have never rooted for a girl. Sue me.

Ahhh, the glory of the group sing - most commonly known at the drama portion of our show. This is where we separate the Paris Hiltons from the Paris Bennetts. And it was easy because like Ms. Hilton, elocution would not be their strong point.

And with that , we are down to 40. Who are they you ask? I have no idea. I still don't recognize a single one.
